Skepta’s first clothing line hits the shops

Streetwear for a shutdown.

Mains is upping the quality on your trackies, as today marks the launch of grime’s finest contemporary unisex brand. Hitting Selfridges’ stores across the UK, raid the rails for anything that counts you into the shutdown movement. Set to become streetwear staples, Skepta’s items make up a clothing line that combines concepts of sportswear and (military) uniforms. Re-working them into luxury travel pieces that are comfortable yet give off a fresh, grime-inspired look that’s hard to come by. Crossing the globe, the lookbook for the first drop was shot by the talented Dexter Navy, featuring Moroccan locals decked head-to-toe in the street-infused gear.

Sure to keep his ever-growing following satisfied, the debut range of quality sartorial items—a reinvented drill top with a matching tracksuit bottom, t-shirts, socks, boxers, outerwear, bags and hats—sends everybody on that same mission. Skepta was most probably referring to something different when spitting this line out on his eponymous track, but the point is: head over to Selfridges to get hold of some new luxury get-up before it sells out. Offering a secure safety net, Mains’ online store will be making the first items available for worldwide shipping on the 10th of July. The rest of the collection is set to follow in September.
