The festival for nonconformists is back

Rewire announces seventh round with Arca, Jesse Kanda and SUMS.

Arca by St.Johns

In constant pursuit of celebrating adventurous music, Rewire is back for its seventh anniversary and (we are very pleased to announce) has just released its first wave of confirmed artists. Encouraging progressive forms of creativity, Rewire approaches the annual event—and its lineup—with an unbiased eye, delivering attendees with artists that pave the way for contemporary art; including talks, workshops, screenings and lots of music to indulge in.

Taking place on the first weekend of April, the Dutch festival has confirmed performances from Glamcult favourite Arca, whom you’ll definitely know from Mutant or his collabs with Kanye West, Björk and FKA twigs. The Venezuelan producer will be joined by long-term pal / visual artist Jesse Kanda (who you’ll also recognize as the mastermind behind twigs’ album artwork and videos).

Other headliners include SUMS—a collaborative project between producer Kangding Ray and instrumentalist/composer Barry Burns, which will entail a live performance alongside a full band. Los Angeles-based composer Daniel Wohl is also set to hit the stage, promising music in his usual style; an eclectic mash-up of classical, acoustic and electronic sounds being brought to life with the help of Slagwerk Den Haag, the Matangi Quartet and visual artist Daniel Schwarz.
