As you’ve probably noticed, we’re beyond excited to have just released the new Glamcult. A lot of love, hard work and inspiration—by a huge amount of contributors—went into elaborating on a theme that’s close to our hearts: Modern Family. In short, our reshaped issue explores the notion of carefully choosing your own family rather than sticking to the traditional, nuclear one.
To toast to this release and further explore the theme, next week Glamcult will temporarily inhabit the Sonos Home Amsterdam. On December 20, a part of our Amsterdam-based creative family will get together to discuss how young creative minds form collectives—and the role that sound and music play in this process.
Three participants, whose work strongly relates to Amsterdam’s youth culture and youth culture in general, have been invited. Moderated by Glamcult’s editor-in-chief, Leendert Sonnevelt, music journalist Emma van Meyeren, The Movement Models’ Robbie Baauw and DJ/party organizer LYZZA will talk all things family, creativity and music.
Interested in attending this Glamcult get-together? We wish we could host all of you, but unfortunately we have to keep things intimate. In order to get a ticket, send an email with your motivation to rsvp[at]glamcultstudio.com for a chance to get your hands on one. See you soon!
