Feast your eyes on YtinifninfinitY

We’re not sure how to pronounce it either.

“After the internet consumerism” is what New York label YtinifninfinitY (infinity spelled backwards then forwards) is all about. Mexico City-born Victor Barragan—the designer behind the label—started out with his mini Big Cartel empire and a sell-out Leonardo DiCaprio ‘MS-DOS folder tears’ graphic tee. Since then he’s found himself drawn to more authentic fashion design with the launch of his own label.

With early collections zooming in on techy iconography, YtinifninfinitY takes it from cyber-to-nature for S/S16. Fruit and vegetables abound, as if an after-hours party has broken out at the grocery store. Fittingly, at the label’s fashion week presentation a bent mix of supermarket sounds, cashier blips and ambient crowd noises comprised the soundtrack. Giant hoop earrings and metal studs pierced kiwis and star fruits, with an eggplant purse as the standout piece.

Barragan uses his IG account to showcase the ongoing project of pierced masterpieces; expect everything from dazzling oysters to raw flesh—a real feast for the eyes.
