Enter the new decade with this body positive calendar.
The new decade is going to be all about radical change. After paving the way to accepting all shapes and sizes, it’s about time we embraced all types of skin. Fortunately, there’s a calendar that does just that. “Skin” is the second edition of Seasonal Sexy, a series of calendars conceived by art director and graphic designer Jonas Weber and graphic designer Stefanie Wurnitsch. For 2020, they teamed up with photographer and Glamcult collaborator Laura Schaeffer and make-up artist Victoria Reuter, in order to create a series of photographs that revolve around a number of beauty looks, which are based on alleged imperfections of skin. Within a culture, which is essentially shaped by face filters and self-optimization, the aim was to turn something that’s generally perceived as undesirable into something visually appealing. The format of the calendar serves as a constant reminder to shift our perception in order to discover the beauty within our flaws. You can get the calendar through contacting the collaborators, but be quick to grab yourself one of the few editions!
PS: Infatuated with the “flawed” beauty looks? Tabitha Swanson got you covered (literally)! You can wear the multi-colored black-eye through this Seasonal Sexy face filter!
