Channelling the feeling we know all too well of needing to go out and dance, OneDa in collaboration with Mr Scruff has just dropped a new double A-side on Heavenly. And let’s just say… we can’t stop listening. ‘Warrior’s Daughter’ is a track that within its very nature dances the fear away. Describing the feeling, OneDa explains, “I’m a warrior’s daughter. I’m strong, I’m not going to be fearful”, and in doing so we feel her strength through this Jonny Kalsi-inspired beat. Rowdy and unstoppable OneDa has also dedicated the song to her recently passed father, “I come from warrior blood” OneDa affirms. The second track on the release, Rollin’ is beats n bass only. Exemplifying their high-energy flow, OneDa is the Manchester-based powerhouse of a lyricist that is quite simply, heaven in our ears.
