After two long years, the queen of the dance floor is back with a new single: Nabi — Korean for butterfly — and it was so worth the wait! The title couldn’t be more suited, as the lush beats and ethereal melodies transform all our heavy energies into love and light. From this brightness to a heavy beat, it’s a perfect balance; transitioning summer days into hazy nights. This is Peggy like we know her: celestial and catchy, with a rhythm that automatically lifts our spirits. Featuring South-Korean singer Oh Hyuk, whom you might know from his indie-rock band Hyukoh, The Starry Night star has once again blessed our ears with sultry vocals recorded by no one less than miss Gou herself. Their message is clear: time to accept, embrace, transform and release all the stuck negativity from the past year. Let’s celebrate the single exactly the way Peggy demonstrates on her Instagram: with a drink in one hand (and a whole bottle of rosé in the other) ?. Looks like Summer is here afterall!
Can’t get enough? 100% understandable. In that case, we have some good news: Gou has shared a cheeky little fact with us on her recent socials, saying: ”new dance floor tracks on the way too ;)”. We can’t wait, but for now, we’ll be happily playing Nabi on repeat until that day arrives.
