MIX OF THE WEEK: Jyoty with Esky

With Amsterdam Dance Event consuming the music scene this week, there are too many sets to watch and too many tracks to listen to. However, we thought it would be cute to take a step back from pure techno and give you guys a mix with a bit of spice. Wouldn’t we be so lucky that one of our absolute fave DJs released just that? Jyoty – DJ, Instagram activist, baddie – has been stealing our hearts for years now, blowing the world away with a fire Boiler Room set in 2019 and winning all of us over with her candid, honest, and unapologetic presence on social media. Hip-hop, lofi, and some drum and bass sprinkled in there, Jyoty is giving us a taste of everything with some refreshing commentary. Listening to this mix is like vibing with a friend, as she comments on the tracks and catches you up on her week. The last half – Esky‘s Soulquarians Mix – winds it all the way back down with some sultry, chill tracks – with some more rap, soul, and hip-hop, this has to be the perfect soundtrack for our downtime this ADE.
