The time has come…the winner is announced
A few months ago we gave you the full LVMH finalist rundown and let you all pick your own favs. Well, the time has come…the winner is announced…Congratulations Steven Stokey Daley for a most well-deserved win! For those who don’t know his eponymous label S.S. Daley explores British heritage and sustainability in a refreshing yet familiar way. His win means he has been awarded a €300,000 grant – which was handed over by Cate Blanchett – and a year of mentorship from selected respected professionals. While the jury all agreed that Daley was the deserving winner, we at Glamcult struggled to choose who we were rooting for – but S.S. Daley was definitely up there. Also in the news, Eli Russell Linnetz of ERL (<3) and Idris Balogun of Winnie New York (also <3) tied for the Karl Lagerfeld award, both taking home a whopping €1500,00.
In the end, we are just excited to see how all of the nine finalists will evolve into the designers of the future.
