A moment of creative celebration
Last week, New Balance transformed Studio 3000 into a moment of creative celebration for their End of Year Community Dinner. Here gathered New Balance’s vibrant family to reflect on the brand’s successes throughout the year.
In fact, this year was like no other for New Balance, marked by an unparalleled list of releases that include the fav WRPDs and Fresh Foam 1080v13 models. The brand also hosted a diverse range of events uplifting creatives of the New Balance community. From the Grey Day in Bitterzoet to their event with The Color Grey in Belgium, and of course their support for Atelier Reserve during Amsterdam Fashion Week. But wait, we can’t forget about their collab with Yusu – <3 – and Rambo in Brussels to host organized runs with SoMuchFunRunClub. All showing the breadth and commitment to their family.
While celebrating moments like those, we came together to eat, drink, and have some fun. Our highlight of the night? The BNNY HUNNA, JUNYA, and Lusho exclusive performance. This incredible act, following their earlier collab with New Balance, added an energetic spirit to an evening devoted to celebrating creativity and community.
BNNY HUNNA is no Glamcult stranger. We got the chance to catch up with him before his New Balance Grey Day “Jam Session” – where he honestly stole the show. Alongside him last week was JUNYA on the drums and rising star Lusho – whose track “New Balance” hit #2 on the Dutch top 5 most streamed solo tracks in rap category ;).
Lusho has been making a mark on the Dutch rap scene since 2022 when his debut single “Zo Boos” instantly went TikTok viral. But it was really his single “New Balance” that catapulted him to stardom, letting everyone know that he is here to stay. His unapologetic storytelling resonates with listeners from all walks of life, making him an artist to def keep an eye on.
“It was a beautiful moment for me, especially because it happened organically. When I created ‘New Balance,’ collaborating was never the initial intention. Additionally, it marked my first experience performing with a live band, and I’m especially grateful to BNNY HUNNA and Junior Wanta for sharing that unique experience with me.” – Lusho
But he’s not the only one, BNNY HUNNA’s creative pursuits are nothing short of extraordinary. From making music in church, to producing tracks for artists like Rimon, Gaidaa, and Akwasi, the trailblazer always has an artistic project up his sleeve. Starting from day one with his debut project “SINTHA” he has been gaining global – and Glamcult – recognition.
“My experience collaborating with New Balance this year has been refreshingly innovative. They were open to trying unconventional approaches, which I highly appreciate. For example, bringing together Lusho and me for a performance at the community dinner is something I wouldn’t have thought of, but it makes perfect sense.” – BNNY HUNNA
All in all, the New Balance End of Year Community Dinner was a testament to the brand’s commitment to creatives. And, as the curtains closed on this memorable night, New Balance eagerly anticipates another year of innovation guided by its community and the collaborative spirit that define the brand’s core.
