Earth, wood, fire, water, and metal
KTALYST is a series of five one-minute films presenting Inaurem‘s limited collection of 3D printed and metal jewelry, designed by multidisciplinary artist Metaraph. Inspired by the Chinese concept of the five elements — Wu Xing, each film depicts enigmatic, otherworldly creatures embodying earth, wood, fire, water, and metal. Mesmerized by the work, we dove into the faces behind the elements and explored how the boundaries between subject and character blur through a finish-the-sentence interview. Embodying uniqueness and celebrating difference – using fiction to find a home that couldn’t elsewhere be found, Louisiane Trotobas has made a series exploring the externalization of internal beauty.

I am my most authentic when… I am alive, nothing prevents me from being my true self.
This looks to the world… like rebellion … and feels like… true expression without any aspect of conformity to society’s control to me.
My most creative self is present … In Marrakesh, it feels like an untouched city, and I feel most freeing there.
The Journey to this space was… Authenticity and being unapologetically myself.
A lesson I learnt along the way… Nobody’s opinion of me matters, as long as I believe in what I do, and I’m honest to myself and my family.
When thinking of my character, I would describe them as… confident, strong, vulnerable, open, and unstoppable.
My character allows me to… believe anything is possible
My world is a place of… non-conformist individuals and people who love one another for their realness.
Home to me means… freedom of expression and a place of escapism from society.

I am my most authentic when… I create.
My most creative self is present… In music, makeup and performance.
The Journey to this space… started at a very young age and still continues revealing new experiences and possibilities.
A lesson I learnt along the way… Is to be grateful for the present moment and not to rush for good things. They will come eventually if you let them.
When I am thinking of my character, I would describe them as… genderless and otherworldly.
My character allows me to… express endless possibilities of myself. Rethinking what “My” and “Self” means. And let go…
My world is a place of… freedom, care, and creativity.
I hope for everyone to share my experience of ….creativity and freedom because I feel happy when people can connect through the creative process.
Home to me means… the presence of people who I love and feel a connection with. It is never tied to a physical place.

I am my most authentic when… WE ARE FREE.
My most creative self is present in… MOONSELF.
The Journey to this space was… MANAGEABLE.
When thinking of my character. I would describe them as… NOW.
My character allows me to… BE
My world is a place of… DREAMS.
I hope for everyone to share my experience of… REALITY… because… IT WOULD MAKE THE WORLD PEACEFUL.
Home to me means… SAFETY
BY HARD WORK… Is how I found this home.
POSTIVE CHANGE… Makes me feel powerful.
I’m currently manifesting… UTOPIA.

I am my most authentic when… I set my thoughts free and there are no more visions conviving my eyes or words deceiving my mind.
This looks to the world… like freedom … and feels like… relief.
My most creative self is present… In a space that has no restrictions and is filled with scorching desires.
The Journey to this space… was a trip that explores alternative narratives and dots start to connect, stories emerge.
A lesson I learnt along the way… Is to not overthink and let the doubts get in the way of the exploration.
When I am thinking of my character, I would describe them as… I would describe them as a figure that inhabits a land where small explosions constantly take place.
My character allows me to… feel the passion to express.
My world is a place of… cosmopolitanism where there’s no barrier to entry.
I hope for everyone to share my… coping mechanism in life… because…it does no good making ‘the insignificant matter.
Home to me means… a place where I feel grounded and thoughts are safe to let go.
