Weekday drops its plant-based denim collection
The future is here, and one brand who’s only looking ahead is WEEKDAY. Their latest Plant Based Limited Edition collection has just dropped, and it’s time to jump on the Hemp train. The unisex collection is a plant-dyed, hemp denim collab, transforming the way clothes are created. For this collection, the brand who hypes up all of our wardrobes has teamed up with a tech startup, who diligently transform food crop waste into new and ready to be revived fibres. In the collaboration, we see oil-seed hemp production transcending its lineage, creating garments alongside environmental and social benefits. This use of hemp fiber is something we have already spotted amongst our weekly peruses of the WEEKDAY webshop, but in creating an entire collection we can see an upward spiral of increase usage and increased benefits.
The design takes inspiration from the tale of “the modern tree-hugger”, where the clichés no longer apply. Envisioning the concious community with a holistic mindset and aesthtic importance, this is a manifestation of the looks we are ready to rock over the coming months. Jeans are the backbone of everyone’s personal collection, so taking our signature denim and re-evaluating what denim ‘needs to be’, its easy to see these sculptural, smart and lacy number’s taking centre stage. The collection is a standout selection- with the Mable Jacket taking centre stage. With detachable sleveles and a co-ord opportunity just waiting to happen- this is plant based at its finest.
Of course, Hemp is as multipurpose as it gets, so seeing our veggie spread and special tea turn into our favourite designs is certainly a treat for the eyes. The collection is available exclusively online from today at weekday.com. Get it, don’t regret it.
