Warning: it may be haunted
The one and only Sega Bodega returns with a new glitched-out genre-bending single – accompanied by a video with the same energy, of course. “Kepko” scatters romantic lyricism over hurrying percussions and cut-up synths, resulting in one intoxicating track in Bodega’s signature style. Stamping the alternative electronic scene with his name at every opportunity, Bodega’s ground-breaking production style attracted an endless list of collaborators, from FKA Twigs to Arca. Now, it’s time for his solo work to shine, and “Kepko” shows off his creative vigour in full force. Directed by Lydia Ourahmane and Bodega himself, the accompanying music video is nothing short of a dizzying night out – and our favs, from Caroline Polachek to Uffie, all make an appearance. “Lydia’s camera is haunted, everything we filmed went back into the laptop all destroyed and glitching like this.” says Sega “a gift.” Have a look below, at your own risk.
