ASICS X GmbH has been powering through with their collaboration projects this season and it has certainly paid off! Their newest shoe, a re-imagination of the GEL-NANDI TM 360, embodies the two brands and their identities harmoniously creating a staggering sneak’. Crafted to merge the notion of the natural and the synthetic, this is the most sculptural piece yet. From slick to matte and bold and bright, the shoe represents the natural world through its colours (depicting the skeleton’s white and the Aegean Sea’s turquoise) whilst embodying the futuristic technological world we live in. When you are starting with what could essentially be societies foundation, the pressure is on! However, this collaboration only showcases what we can hope to see from the future of this relationship. From craftsmanship to sportswear, this is the age of the sneaker.
