Glamcult’s event of the week
Hey Amsterdammers, are you still figuring out your weekend plans? Well, we got you!
Running for one day and one day only, you truly cannot miss Amsterdam-based artist Beri Dalgali‘s pop-up expo at our fav cultural melting pot location, Patta. From June 27th to June 28th, Dalgali is inviting us to get a close look at her work – and perhaps treat yourself to a print before the doors to her shop close. Through visual media, Dalgali’s mission is to dismantle patriarchal and colonial structures from an intersectional standpoint. Drawing from her Kurdish heritage and Queer communities, Dalgali’s work aims to shed light on underrepresented stories while contending with complexities of what makes up one’s identity.
From collages to photography, Dalgali’s storytelling knows no bounds, much like her limitless creative expression. Motivated by a desire to honour her history and individuality, her work envisions a collective future. It transcends one-sided narratives aiming to empower and ignite a conversation.
You’ll definitely catch us there 😉
