Who, what, where to be this week while you’re hunting for that wild night.
Are you ready to dance the night away? The infamous club week is finally back, making this weekend special to not only those traveling from all over the world, but for us locals too :’). ADE clearly couldn’t wait to have us back either, providing us with a killer lineup and some sick destinations – even the events are wildly diverse, as you can spend your morning at a meditation/workout session, go catch a movie, and then party into the night (well… at least until midnight). With so much to do and see, we figured we would help you out a bit by pointing out some key highlights from throughout the week you definitely shouldn’t miss.
Kicking off the week is the Ethiopian music night at the must-visit Amsterdam destination, Sexyland. Now, much love to all of our international babes that have traveled all the way here to party, but some of us have got to work. We felt that the best way to start off a hectic weekend would be to lie down, chill out, and enjoy an amazing night of tunes. Aside from some phenomenal food, the headlining event is a lie-down piano concert performed by Phantom Wizard – the composer, producer, and musical philosopher. In addition to some live painting, meditation, and live DJ sets, we’re forecasting the event to be a profound celebration of sound and art, getting us in the perfect headspace for the week ahead.
Not going to lie, Thuishaven festival this past August getting canceled nearly ruined our summer. However, our pain wasn’t in vain! With parties lined up all weekend, the Thuishaven thirst we were all left with can finally be quenched. We decided to give them our Friday slot – with local fave KI/KI headlining, we can’t imagine a better close to our week and start to our Saturday.
We love a good party-vibe, but sometimes you just want to go hard. And we mean really hard, considering this insane lineup Radion have set up for their Saturday night dance event. The forecast for the music bounces around within the elektro, techno, and hard techno spheres, leading us to believe that this Vault Session will be the place to party this Saturday night. Lose yourself to the music and fully emmerse yourself in the Amsterdam dance experience.
Our Sunday recommendation is entirely a shot in the dark – the lineup of the night is still a secret. In Radio Radio we trust, however, handing them our last night of ADE and closing off an amazing week of partying before we return to the real world. With so many options of venues, genres, and atmospheres to choose from, sometimes it’s necessary to let someone do all of the work for you – and we’re itching to find out where this last event will take us.
We took a long, hard look at the abundant lineup for this ADE, curating a list of our favourite spots and atmospheres. However, the whole city is going to be buzzing! Bars, clubs, and basements are going to be exploding with sound, and we couldn’t even begin to scrape the surface of everything that’ll be happening. (If the weather will allow it), go out and explore! Follow the music and dance the night away – we’ve waited too long to resist the flow.
