Tis’ the season of giving
This Winter season is quite like no other. Whether a Christmas away from the family comes as a subtle relief or a gutting reality- it’s important that as the New Year rolls around we reflect on this year in its entirety. Weekday will be doing exactly the same. Looking beyond their own grapples, the fashion brand is collaborating with three exquisite designers to produce unique pieces where all profits will go to Civil Rights Defenders– a human rights organisation tackling political injustice.
Ellen Hodakova Larsson, Per Götesson, Claire Yurika Davis, Annika Berger and Per Axen are the creatives behind the collection. From Stockholm to London, each designer brings their own perspective to the Weekday Store Made Studio– a creative space for artists and designers within Weekday stores across Europe and HQ.
First up is Ellen Hodakova Larsson, a Stockholm-based designer who focuses on alternate fashion; reworking pre-loved pieces and bringing with it a new lease of life. Deconstruction is certainly Larsson’s gig, as we see dead-stock Weekday gloves reincarnate into an array of dual-toned bras, tops and skirts as well as that iconic newspaper-print. The pieces are available on the Weekday Big Cartel site now. Get a fit for the Winter, and support the causes that need us most!
