In a year (according to the nationalist British Media) to be marked by the death of the Queen and coronation of a King, LOVERBOY has cleverly acknowledged this cultural reset whilst simultaneously nodding to the irony of its existence
The Uk’s beloved Charles Jeffrey LOVERBOY has officially hit the runway, showcasing his Spring-Summer ’24 collection; a theatrical collection of eras old and new. Titled, These New Caroleans (a kind of soldier), LOVERBOY highlights England’s tradition-stricken cultural heritage.
The collection featured some LOVERBOY classics — kilts, brogues and buckled belts — however, a new narrative filled the space as iridescent blue silhouettes sauntered the runway in the form of pleated mini-skirts, sailor hats and oversized plush armour. Alongside these standout pieces, a motif ran through; shields, gloves and guarded helmets which intersected unexpected floral oversized prints and neon athleisure wear.
Made up of forty-two eye-catching looks, this collection is LOVERBOY’s most elevated to date. And in a year (according to the nationalist British Media) to be marked by the death of the Queen and coronation of a King, LOVERBOY has cleverly acknowledged this cultural reset whilst simultaneously nodding to the irony of its existence.
