Exploring the invisible space

If we had to describe 8ON8 in one word, we would probably say temporality. What on earth do we mean by that? Let us explain. 8ON8 was founded on the notion of retrofuturism. Past, present, and future flow out of and between the garments. In the 8ON8 universe, time does not move linearly, it twirls, dances, and plays to construct stories of future’s past. F/W24 embodies this, exploring the invisible space of time through a story that is bound to make you smile.

Titled “The Gourd Winter Concert” The models themselves embark on a journey to the top of a snow mountain. In fact, the set design literally moves through the city and into nature. But the models are no mere models anymore, they are transformed into musicians who must reach the peak to perform a concert that’s sound will pirouette across time.
The collection creates dramatic shapes by blending retro lines with futuristic detachment. A big turn on of this collection is in the details. Hems and cuffs are flipped and played with, opening up new spaces in conventional moments. A shoutout goes to the soft blue jacket, whose discrete openings allow for ribbons to be woven in and out of them – and trust us we will be taking advantage of that. Oh, and have we not mentioned the instruments yet? Well they are BIG. It adds this level of theatricality to the collection that in the end reminds us to have fun.
