Subversive Sublimations: KAVARI Drops "Someone Loved It" Remix

“You’re Sick in the Head, I Want You Now”

KAVARI and her self-acclaimed “library of chaos,” reimagines the archive of music, highlighting the inescapable nausea of subconscious desire, thought, and fear. Exploring the weird and the eerie through sound, she delivers transformative experiences. Her 2023 project Against The Wood, Opposed To Flesh put her on the map and she has taken the European electronic music scene captive. Only a year later, she released her fifth album Laudanum, an exploration of the limits of sampling and genre bending, highlights the disturbing human psyche through captivating bass lines, disorienting noises, and chopped up samples. Although the album sits snug in our sonic rotation, her newly remixed and released single “Someone Loved it,” is prime ear-candy for those who couldn’t get enough. The track, remixed by KOARSE, is distinguishable by the same immediate experience of fast paced breaks, saturated grains, and a masterfully chopped sample. KAVARI has sewn the depths of her soul into the audio peaks of her tracks. Moreover, the exciting start of her new residency at NTS Radio titled, “Scrying w/ KAVARI” is a further invitation into her own audio landscape—a curated downward spiral into the depths of her library of chaos that is only beginning. The producer and DJ enters the mind of her listeners through these sonic mediations and nests between the various folds of their brain—permanently altering what it means to listen to a story.
