G-STAR Etches Rembrandt into Denim
In a graceful tribute to Dutch heritage, G-STAR joins the Rembrandt House Museum to unveil a denim collection that echoes Rembrandt’s craft. The “Etched Denim” capsule thoughtfully reinterprets Rembrandt’s iconic 1639 self-portraits and his renowned etching technique, layering centuries-old artistry with contemporary laser technology. G-STAR’s designers have meticulously experimented over the past few months with different denim types, washes, and coatings to evoke the detailed lines and rich textures of the infamous Rembrandt!
Celebrating the Dutch master through six refined pieces, including jackets, jeans, and a parka. This collaboration boldly bridges legacy and creativity, highlighting Amsterdam’s enduring spirit of innovation. Milou Halbesma, director of the Rembrandt House Museum, describes it as “a beautiful chapter in Rembrandt’s house as the House of Craftsmanship.” Experience Rembrandt’s detailed compositions as a source of inspiration that flows into G-STAR’s denim designs from the 2nd of November.
