A weekend like no other
A lot has happened this weekend, and we are still recovering from all the non-stop celebrations. One thing is for sure though: we had the best time – and judging by your Instagram stories, you definitely did too. Teaming up with Dr. Martens, we have unveiled our new Glamcult Store as well as the reimagined music studio space, Glamcult TV! Filled with hard-hitting performances, cute faces, and the most creative iterations of Docs, the three-day weekender is definitely one to remember.
Remaining loyal to their counter-culture roots, Dr. Martens inaugurated the new GC Store space with their latest 1460 collection – featuring three signature boots like no other. The classic 1460 silhouette has been dominating underground spaces for the last 60 years, and the 14XX model is ready to take it to the next level. Elevated with a heat-sealed base and removable gaiters, the 14XX Sub boot promises to keep you warm, dry, and sleek in any weather.
If you missed the launch, we got you – the iconic Docs will be available at the Glamcult Store until January, so make sure to get yourself down there ASAP! As for the music, here’s your recap of everything that went down 😉
Friday kicked off with a sweaty, hip-turning curation from Toccororo. Slimfit opened with an eclectic blend of everything between Neo Perreo and emotional techno, picked up by Torus, who delivered maximalist progressive sounds. Then we had the Queen of the Latinx electronic herself, as Toccororo took over the decks and ignited the dancefloor. Wrapping up the night, the Barcelona-based Sukubratz kept up the explosive energy as she ventured into sundaca electronic genres, connecting with her Chilean roots.
On Saturday, we ventured into darker territories of club music with the selection from Parrish Smith. Mila V opened with a live set blending future-forward electronic beats with her piercing vocals. Camy Huot followed with textured minimal wave, synth punk, and French EBM. Delivering a hybrid set, the headliner Parrish Smith leaned into the leftfield territories of post-punk and IDM in a genre-defying performance. As we sunk into the darkness of the night, Ufo95 submerged us deeper into dark, hypnotic corners of techno with a live set.
The weekender culminated on Sunday – with a healing performance that pulled on our heartstrings by the beautiful Naaz. Her intricate productions and mesmerising voice, that seemingly stretches the limits of vocal possibilities, had us completely spellbound. The first artist of Naaz’ curation was Baby Ganoush, who brought out a mix of breaks, dubstep, and grime in playful experimentation. Next up, was Chamos – a duo whose eruptive blend of Middle Eastern edits, bass, Brazilian Funk, and jungle classics made us SWEAT. Rounding off the weekend, Jade Soul closed on a high note, with her signature blend of timeless hip-hop and pop anthems with a soulful twist.
