ENERGY IS EVERYTHING

As the weekend of Amsterdam pride is soon approaching, the month-long celebrations have taken sail. Joining the party is Dutch brand Filling Pieces, celebrating this year’s pride with a collaboration with two keen up-comers within fashion: DAGGER and Yamuna Forzani. Championing each brand’s unique vision, the goal is continuous, to “bridge the gap between different people, cultures and disciplines”. Titled, ENERGY IS EVERYTHING, this new collaborative drop is designed with fluidity in mind; no piece is confined to a gender, or individual, but is an opportunity for everyone to style, explore and wear.

Taking shape through two mini capsule collections, both brands, however, bring something different to the table! Yamuna Forzani showcases its softly colourful identity, whilst DAGGER sticks to its bold and angular design style. From a bold (and perfect for summer) pair of leopard print shorts, a simple white tank, and monogrammed long sleeve to a delicate knit baby-pink trimmed cardigan, these two designers take us to different places that we equally love. The show-stoppers? Each designer takes on Filling Pieces’ iconic loafer. From the colour-blocking blue, black and white of DAGGER to the illustrative and textural scenes depicted in Yamuna Forzani’s designs, we LOVE.
