IWC Schaffhausen X Filling Pieces
American watchmakers, IWC Schaffhausen, have teamed up with Dutch luxury streetwear label, Filling Pieces, in a coming together within the Woodland. In celebration of this collaboration, Filling Piece’s flagship store has been transformed into a woodland wonderland as this collaboration comes in two phases: a Low Top limited-edition sneaker inspired by the Pilot’s Watch Chronograph TOP GUN Edition.
The Woodland Wonderland is not just a monochromatic sight-to-see, but also an opportunity for you to delve into the world of both innovators. Both IWC and Filling Pieces have curated exhibitions with the goal of bringing the friends (and family) and the brands together — a meeting of the minds filled with panel discussions and masterclasses. Ever wanted to learn more about Fashion? Metaverse? NFT’s? Well now is your chance!
The Low Top sneaker is one of Filling Pieces’ OG’s, and was originally designed to “bridge the gap between streetwear and high fashion”. Since having become a symbol of this fusion, seeing the iconic silhouette within the Woodland colourway takes us on a swift journey into the brand’s roots (and, quite simply) doing what they do best.
Both brands have been long-known for their dedication to craftsmanship, design and innovative creations. And although harnessing different areas of the market, Christian Knoop (Chief Design Officer at IWC Schaffhausen) explains, “There are many points of convergence between our industries, especially when it comes to craftsmanship, culture and creativity. In every design project, we combine part of our history with new influences we pick up from the world around us” — and in this case, it is nature’s colourways which have brought on the inspiration.
