Today SORT Studio celebrates the launch of zine number two: a 52-paged portfolio of “offal-littered still lifes, raw and unedited street-cast portraits”. With each issue carefully hand numbered and a print run of only 100 copies, we predict that these unpolished gems are going to run out fast.
Founders (and Glamcult contributors) Joseph Delaney and Matt King work in unison to form SORT Studio: a design studio and independent publisher focused on producing print publications, video, clothing and concrete products. Their zine’s fine-tune to detail and stickability to unveil the undercurrent of London, is exactly what makes the work of these two Londoners so credible. Being based in the creative hub of the country doesn’t go to waste for the twosome, using it to their advantage whenever possible—taking to the streets to supply candid snapshots of the most “diverse corners of London’s underbelly”.
The second issue of SORT launches this evening with a video installation and one-night pop-up at Ditto London, and you’re all invited. An afterparty at Vogue Fabrics of course follows the launch, where you can dance the night away to the sweet sound of Naked (Lucky Me), who will be performing live.
