We might be hollow but we’re brave

Revel in (queer) teen awkwardness with Evvol.

article-title

Releasing an erotic and gender ambiguous short film, Berlin-based dark wave duo Evvol is sure to sweep you of your feet (again). The twosome released its acclaimed debut album Eternalism last year and shared the stage with Grimes, Peaches and TR/ST, among others. Now back from their European live run, Irish singer Julie Chance and Australian multi-instrumentalist Jane Arnison present their hotly awaited follow-up. The result is Physical L.U.V: a personal and ethereal EP written from their cozy Kreuzberg studio and launched on !K7 Records.

Focusing on the emotional and physical comforts of love, as well as its constraints, the official music video for the lead single will take you to rural Germany, exploring issues of motivation and expectation through the story of two gender queer teenagers and their steps towards passion. Light versus dark, comfort versus awkwardness—examine your inner contradictions.
